Poplar Avenue Garden Transformation
A full back-garden overhaul — new boundary fencing, large-format porcelain patio and artificial turf — turning a tired, weather-worn space into a low-maintenance family garden.
📍 St Saviour, Jersey
A complete back-garden transformation in St Saviour, delivered over two months from October to December 2025. New perimeter fencing, large-format porcelain patio and artificial turf — finished to a residential brief with the family ready to use it the same week we left site.
The journey
Before, during & after
Each stage of the project, told in pictures and words.
-
1 Stage 1 of 3
Before
The original garden was hemmed in by stained concrete walls, with patchy grass, broken paving and no usable patio area. The owners wanted a clean, child-friendly space they could actually use year-round.
-
2 Stage 2 of 3
During
We stripped out the old surfaces, set fresh sub-base and laid large-format porcelain tiles across the patio area with precision spacers and a stable bedding mortar. New fencing went in along the full perimeter — arch-topped panels mounted on concrete gravel boards to keep timber off the ground.
-
3 Stage 3 of 3
After
A bright, clean and low-maintenance garden the family can use straight off the back door. The combination of porcelain patio, artificial turf and new fencing lifts the whole space and makes it feel twice the size.
