The journey
Before, during & after
Each stage of the project, told in pictures and words.
-
1 Stage 1 of 3
Before
The old fence had reached the end of its life. Posts were lifting, panels were warped and the line no longer sat true against the driveway. A crane lorry was brought in to lift the original timber and posts out in one clean run.
-
2 Stage 2 of 3
During
New concrete-set posts and gravel boards went in along the full boundary, levelled and aligned to give the slat panels a perfectly flat run. Each panel was set with a consistent gap to maintain visual rhythm along the length of the run.
-
3 Stage 3 of 3
After
A clean, contemporary horizontal-slat boundary that frames the granite farmhouse and lifts the whole frontage. Treated for longevity against Jersey weather and built to outlast the previous fence many times over.
